Galatians Chapter 2

Vs.1-14.

Contention, strife and disagreement!

  • What was the problem? What are our problems?
  • What did Paul do? Had he doubts? Vs.2
  • What about the input of outsiders? ‘Those who were reputed to be something? Vs.6.
  • Problem solved? Vs.10.
  • Inconsistencies arise. Vs. 11-14. Are we inconsistent? How?
  • What do we learn about problem solving?

Vs. 15-19.

  • Justification by faith alone in Christ, What does it mean?
  • Vs. 17. What does this mean?
  • What does ‘Died to the law’ mean?
  • How do we apply this to our lives? Application and implication!

Vs. 20,21.

  • Divine union by faith.
  • What is our relationship with the law?
  • ‘I live in the flesh I live by faith’. What does this mean?
  • How can we ‘nullify the grace of God’? [Remember Ch. 1 and ‘another gospel’!]
  • Is Rom. 7:15-25 helpful?
